THE TROUBLE WITH GOING TO THE CINEMA
I don’t like the cinema very much myself, but my friends all love it, and so I often find me sitting in the dark trying to follow through the conversation on the screen while sweet papers and crisp packets are being opened all around me. It is this sort of annoying disturbance at the cinema which means that I’d prefer hiring a video and watch it at home. Then there is no risk of getting cross although it’s impossible to hear what is going on. Another problem is that I always do my own best to find a seat with a good view of the screen during the advertisements. Then, two minutes before the main film is due to begin, the seat in front of me will take by a heavyweight boxer who blocks out most of the screen and, by the time, it’s so late to move. I know this isn’t really the point. Cinema fans talk about the extra pleasure of an experience shared with others. I must admit there’s often a very good atmosphere in the cinema, and I’m probable too sensitive to these things: it only take one person making stupid comments to spoil the whole occasion. On balance, I think I’ll stick to my video!

find me → find myself
Explanation: The reflexive pronoun "myself" is used instead of "me" when the subject and object refer to the same person.
follow through → follow
Explanation: "Follow through" is incorrect in this context. The correct expression is simply "follow."
sweet papers → sweet wrappers
Explanation: "Sweet wrappers" is the correct term. "Sweet papers" is not commonly used in this context.
crisp packets are being opened → crisps packets are being opened
Explanation: "Crisp" is a singular form, but when used as a noun for the items, it should be "crisps."
I’d prefer hiring a video and watch it at home → I’d prefer to hire a video and watch it at home
Explanation: After "prefer," we use the infinitive form of the verb, so it should be "to hire" rather than "hiring."
do my own best → do my best
Explanation: The phrase "do my own best" is incorrect. The correct form is simply "do my best."
will take → will be taken
Explanation: The correct passive form is "will be taken" instead of "will take."
I’m probable too sensitive → I’m probably too sensitive
Explanation: "Probable" is an adjective, but here an adverb "probably" is required to modify the adjective "sensitive."
