In our beautiful country of Vietnam, there are
many festivals all year round, but the most
special, the holiday that everyone looks
forward to is the traditional Tet holiday. First,
on the days leading up to the new year,
every family will clean the house together,
decorate and buy things for the new year. People
often choose flowers such as marigolds
and chrysanthemums to decorate their homes.
In addition, people will also buy watermelons
and gift baskets to decorate their homes.
And the custom of displaying a five-fruit tray is
indispensable during Tet. A five-fruit tray
often means happiness, prosperity, and smoothness
all year long. Regarding food, on the first
days of the year, Vietnamese people have the
habit of going to families to wish New Year.
Therefore, people will often choose to buy sweet
foods such as nuts, candies, and carbonated
drinks. And on the 30th day of the new year,
the family will gather together to cook cakes

Chung cake, banh tet and celebrate New
Year's Eve together. In the first 3 days of the new
year, people often tend to go pick fortune,
wish New Year and gather with family.
The custom of celebrating the coming of age
is also a main feature of the festival. Tet is a
very meaningful festival, a long holiday where
people can gather with their families,
almost everyone from old to young everyone
likes Tet. I hope that in the future, these
customs will still be preserved and promoted.
