Cách dùng
Used to + verb chỉ một thói quen, một hành động thường xuyên xảy ra trong quá khứ và bây giờ không còn nữa. Nó thường chỉ được sử dụng ở quá khứ đơn.
- When David was young, he used to swim once a day
- I used to smoke a lot.
- Thói quen trong quá khứ: You used to do something, nghĩa là bạn đã làm việc đó trong 1 khoảng thời gian ở quá khứ, nhưng bạn không còn làm việc đó nữa.
Ex:
- We used to live there when I as a child.
(Chúng tôi đã từng sống ở đó khi tôi còn là một đứa trẻ.)
