Hello everybody. I am Công Minh and I speak Vietnamese because it is my
(17)_________________. People around the world usually find it difficult to learn Vietnamese because it includes different intonation marks and its complex reflections from its original words. In order to help ourselves to know more about the world, we need to learn English – an international language used by all of global citizens. When I first studied this language, I couldn’t believe that I could learn it properly because of the native spekers’ (18) ________________ is completely different from ours. Moreover, the spelling is not pronounced the same as it is. Sometimes, when you see ‘ea’ in tea and ‘ea’ in leather, do not pronounce ‘leather’ the same way as the pronunciation of tea /tiː/ because it is pronounced /ˈleðə/. Therefore, Vietnamese students usually (19) __________________ prouncing English words. They have to look new words up in a good dictionary to find out the word’s reflections, part of speech and the pronunciation. This year, I am learning English with a teacher whose voice and accent sound like a (20) __________________. He really helps me to learn this language and I am becoming more interested in this beautiful and useful language.
